Last.

It's my last post for the year 2008.
I want to be a better blogger next year, and I hope I will be. Hahaha.

That was a great year. A more detailed post on the 1st. :)
Thank you everyone for everything in 2008.
Let's make the next even better, a'right?

.MrRobby.
Mmohyeah.

Realization.

It's the break, I'm bored and lazy.

One thing to say:
My bottom-left wisdom tooth is coming out. :))
And it doesn't hurt, so I don't have to get it taken out!

.MrRobby.
At 15? Kind of early. Hahaha.

Daywasting.

Sidenote: The past 3 entries contain DAY in their titles. Hahaha!

So yeah, it's 5 AM and I'm still wide awake.
Why, you ask?

First, because I'm cool like that. Haha.
Simple.

Second, I slept from 1 am - 7 am and 12 noon - 9 pm yesterday.
Count the hours, and I'm sure as hell you won't be surprised why I'm still not sleepy.
Why sleep for that long? Sheer boredom. I had nothing to do. Hahaha.

Last, it's a long weekend for us at the AHS.
Release of report cards on Monday.
Why not waste time, right? Hahaha. I have such a bad mentality regarding time usage.

That's it. Short post once again. :D

.MrRobby.
Will sleep within the hour. :))

Yesterday.

"I still can't believe you're gone.
So long my friend, so long."

-Yesterday by Switchfoot

Colors. :D

Yesterday was such a VERY LONG DAY, and was such a nice reward for the stress the days before it brought about.
So do you get why I quoted the song now?
So long my friend, so long.
...HAHAHA I'M SO CORNY. It was a long day, get it? :))
Nah, kidding. I used it because it was a cool day, and it's gone now. Haha!

It was so packed, from morning until the very minute it ended. Mm-hmm.
It began with KLIK, which is an alternative class day we get every other year.
You get to choose 2 classes from a really wide range of them, including anything from Powerboxing to Fun with Potatoes.
For my first class I chose Blogging 101, hoping to improve the way I type my entries.
It was boring, and the only thing I learned there was that regular 3rd year Math was way easier than semi-honors 2nd year Math.

"If 2a = 3b, then what is a/b? a/2?"
Come on. :))

The speaker ended the class 20 minutes early which Robi and I spent scouring through the stuff of this 3rd year person who had 3 differently colored Barbie pens. Yeah, they were in pink, blue and yellow. Hahaha.

During recess, I ranted about the first class being so bad.
Then some classmates told their stories of their first session experiences too.
We waited for Session B, which for 8 of us was How Radio Works and Being a DJ, the speakers being Tonytoni and Grace Lee.
It was a very funny and worthwhile hour and a half, as Tonytoni kept shooting all of Grace's life advice down. Bwahahaha.
I tried to record them using my phone, but the quality's really bad and the track is an hour long. So yeah, kind of a waste. Hahaha.
Everyone got autographs and pictures with them, causing the teacher moderator a bit of stress since that wasn't really supposed to happen.
Hahaha!

Afterwards, there was a huge crowd that moved around following Grace Lee which was a bit of a pathblocker.
While waiting until we can pass, some classmates got the crazy idea of stealing her chair. So they switched the 2A teacher's chair with hers.
Goodjob. :))

Straight after that, we met up and went to Katipunan to pass time until 3 pm.
Matthew managed to crash 2 computers in 5 minutes with the same problem no one else got. Such luck. Haha!
We played a few games, payed so much for so little, hopped in my brother's car at 3:40 or so PM, then made our way to our house.
Here we just hung around and freshened up before going to AA's Grade 7 legacy. I had to go there whether I wanted to or not though, so good thing Matthew, Russ and Miggy were going too.

So we got there late, Miggy and Russ were labelled as gay. (Whether they really are or not, YOU decide. Hahaha!)
We hung around with the friends they met from our soiree months back, who I got to meet during Matthew's party back in December 6.
We were introduced to many many people as well. :))
Lots of stuff happened. Hooray!
It was fun and funny for the most part, and Russ had a plan to jump the stage.
But it was cancelled.

"No Piolo, No jump!"
-Russ.

Hahaha! And there was no Piolo. TOO BAD. =))
I forgot my money, and consequently didn't eat.
So when we got home, my mom cooked looots of food for us to finish.
Too much for 4 people. :D

We didn't do very much from there since we were all so tired from the long day.
And since we realized that we had 3 more whole days of no classes after that, we could sleep in peace knowing we had so much more time to enjoy the break.

I woke up at 6 somehow (Natural wake-up, y'know it.) Hahaha.
But I found out Matthew woke up even earlier at 4:30. He had already taken a bath and freshened up in preparation for going back home.
After a while, Russ woke up but Miggy stayed asleep.
I went back to sleep, and Miggy woke up. =))
Then I woke up again while they were eating breakfast.

Then Robby does the following!:
Stand up.
Walk to the fridge.
Grab ice cream container.
Get mini-bowl.
Scoop some ice cream in.
Eat ice cream.
Drink water.

And THEN I realize they were eating breakfast.
Ohhhhh.

So I eat breakfast after that. Hahaha!
It was all good. Then they had to leave already. :(
So I'm back to my lonesome. Oh wells. Haha. :))

I can't wait to enjoy the rest of my long weekend. Woohoo!

.MrRobby.
The bright full moon is NICE.

Freeday.

Fridays are freedays for me.
Every Friday, I get dismissed at 1 pm, and we go home to New Manila so I can just commute home.
It's nice to able to take advantage of these hours between 1 and 5 pm and just enjoy the end of the week with classmates. :D

So yeah, for the past 3 Fridays, you wouldn't have seen Robby at home straight after school. Hahaha.

This freeday gives me a nice sense of freedom (duh), since for the past many years of my life, my parents would arrange everything for me.
Way there, way home, time of staying etc.
But now, I just have to ask for permission to go out and I'm as free as a Buy-1-Take-1 product. (ANG CORNY. HAHAHA.)
From there, I manage my own time, money and modes of transportation.

Whee!

Also, for the whole of December, we have no classes on Mondays.
More freedays for us!

Yay, I still have this satisfying headache.
So I'm going to go rest now.
Hahaha.

.MrRobby.
The number 84.

That's Done!

Coolness. Hahaha.
Obviously, that red stick over there doesn't make me very happy.
But it was generally a good run. :D

I really could have done better though.
Took AP, Religion, Science and Math for granted this term.
It's a good thing I did well to pull 3 of those up a bit with the exams, but Math is just... meh.
I might miss honors because of a subject again.

I'm not sure if my Religion exam result will pull me up enough, but it's a good thing my English class standing is fair. :D
I have GOT to do better in the next term. I have to try and get rid of laziness and distractions.
Comment if you have any ideas for motivational catchphrases which might help me with this. Hahaha!

.MrRobby.
MUST DO BETTER!

ColorGenics. :P

I was bored, and tried this ColorGenics thing.
It fits, I must say. :P Hahaha!

Name: Robby
Date: 12/1/2008

You are constantly hoping that your good fellowship and attitude and your 'love for your fellow man (or women)' will give you peace of mind. You need people - people around you to care for you and to show you that they care. It is this hope that keeps you going, the hope that makes you the type of person that indeed you are. Your own need for approval seemingly makes you always ready to help others and in exchange you seek love, warmth and understanding. You will always listen to others and you are open to new ideas which hopefully will prove fruitful and interesting.

You are lazy - you dream of a peaceful, calm, uncluttered and uncomplicated life. Your ideal would be to share a permanent base with some person or persons who would be able to demonstrate on-going love, peace and security.

Conditions are rather confusing at this time. You would like to involved with a particular person or a particular situation but you are holding back. You find it difficult to make a decision.

You are experiencing extreme frustration at this point of time, trying to achieve security and peace of mind, but whatever you seem to do doesn't affect the situation. You are worn out and your energy is being seriously depleted. You may be experiencing what is known as 'heartache' - both mentally and physically. You are a listener and you listen and respond to everything that is going on around you. You feel that all that life has to offer should be within your grasp and you would like to participate in every part of it but the situation is such that every door seems to be closed to you. You just can't understand why that is. But it is - and what's more you feel powerless to change it.

You feel utterly wretched - worn out. The demands that other people have been making on you have depleted your strength and stamina. You feel powerless to try to remedy the situation on your own and you are looking for what is hopefully known as 'divine intervention'. But be assured your salvation lies in yourself - you have the ability so use it.

Try it too: http://goldinuniverse.com/

The First.

Nothing to really talk about.
The exams are over, and so's another term of schooling.

Yay!

Randomness entry ahead.
++++++++++

Ate: Papasok ka na sa school?

Andrei (our nephew): Hindi pa.
Ate: Bakit?
Andrei: Kakain pa ako eh. *Walks off to the table with food.*

Hahaha!

++++++++++

So we went to Budgetlane to buy rice and dinner food today.
I was in board shorts, old yellow shirt I've had since I was 10, and to top it all off...
Hotel Bedroom Slippers.

I looked like crap. Bwahahaha.

Here's what made going down like that worthwhile:
(Insert pic here. I don't have it right now, I'll place it later. :D)

"Meticulously Plannd Kitchen Thing"
Yep, this is what a tag on a kitchen knife said.
I wanted one. They "plannd" it well, after all. Haha!

++++++++++

Very nice.

++++++++++

We watched The Katinas concert last night.
It was very worthwhile.
Seriously.

Another thing about it? These Eyemax things are genius.
Foldable binoculars.
Pure genius.

Made watching the concert from Upper A so much more fun. :D

++++++++++

I actually updated my Friendster. Hooray!
Not that I changed much, though. Hahaha.
Susunod ka na, Multiply. :P

++++++++++

That's all, folks. :D

.MrRobby.
I want to make more sense next time.

On Studying and Laziness.

Today, on another rare momentous yet stray initiative, I decided to study.
Is it because it's Tuesday again?
Most likely. But more importantly, exams begin tomorrow.

Once again, I must say that I really suck at reviewing and studying.
Whenever I try, I can always tell myself that I know the stuff I'm reviewing.
Turns out I need to know MORE about the stuff I already know.
Since it'll require a bit more pruning to find that "more", I get lazy.
And because I get lazy after TRYING to study, I can almost guiltlessly fool around.
Perfect.

So it ends up with me not doing any more than remembering some very small bits that I've forgotten.
It always happens.

The only time studying actually worked for me was when we were to have an AP LT on the next day on a
lesson I completely didn't learn about due to inattentiveness.
Luckily, that proved that I can study well when I don't know anything about the topic.
It helps me stay interested in actually going over stuff.

For a long test on something I didn't learn about from listening to the teacher,
41/50 is pretty good.

I really wish I had never started on this whole "being seriously lazy" ordeal, because laziness is one of the pits hardest to get out of.
You get stuck, you want out, but you can't be bothered to take action.
You sit in that hole, telling yourself that you reeeaaally want to get out.
But what do you do? You try to jump up once or twice to climb out, fail, and sit back down.
It's just too much effort for a lazy person to continue trying.

I hate such a fate, but hey, I brought it upon myself.
And I know blogging about it won't solve anything, I'm not expecting it to.
I want to change this part of me, but I can't.
Sitting in this hole IS convenient, after all.

.MrRobby.
Throwing things that can keep you busy while in that hole makes it even harder.

To Sing, to Laugh, to Dream

Oh yeah.

Here's me practicing my Cyrano speech at home.
The audio quality is bad, so bear with it.
I sound like a girl in it. Hahaha.

++++++++++

I bought a crepe 2 days ago.

I stood in line, told the person I wanted a caramel crepe and paid for it.
Minutes later, they started cooking the crepe by placing the mix on the electric pan.
(YOU KNOW, THE ONES THAT KEEP YOU COOL?
ELECTRIC PAN!
I'm so cornilly punny. HAHA! Daaang, I'm a sad boy.)
It was a nice golden brown, and smelled really good.
As the person there lifted the bottle of caramel, I watched in anticipation.
A wave of disappointment overcame me when I heard the bottle sputter little blobs onto my crepe.
There was very little caramel left.

The lady said to her partner, "Wala na ba tayong caramel?"
She looked at their stock of things, and came up empty-handed.
Grabbing the almost empty bottle, she squeezed it for the little it had left.
And it was done, my crepe was peeled from the pan and rolled neatly.
I bit into it, and true enough, it was the most crisp crepe I've ever tasted.
It's just that it didn't have very much flavor to it.

Which brings me to my point:
Cafeteria products can be categorized on two axes.

First, almost no meal/sandwich/item has both good quality and quantity for its price.
It's one or the other.

Then there's preparation.
It either tastes good, or feels good.
Example: You may have nicely fried fries, which will taste bland,
or really oily fries that taste good.
(Explanation: More oil means more powder/ salt will stick on. ;D )

It's almost impossible for it to be both.
If it's about to happen, Murphy's law will strike and you they'll suddenly have no caramel left.
Hahaha.

.MrRobby.
I'm suddenly hungry now! Argh.

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

Only on Tuesdays.

The title, is probably my favorite non-serious answer.
Sadly, I couldn't say it today. Wahahaha.

In some weird spin of the Earth or something, I actually felt responsible today.
Tuesday.

I started memorizing my Cyrano speech at 8:00 pm!
Usually, I start doing homework at 11 pm, or even 12 midnight.
3 hours? Not a big difference, you say? Yes? Aww.
Yeah, 3 hours is quite a big difference for any student.
Considering you don't really get much hours after school if you're dismissed at 4 pm.

-To be continued at a later date. Sorry. .MrRobby.

On second thought, I'm responsible only on Tuesdays.

So nope, this entry ends here. :D

.MrRobby.
I love excuses. Hahaha!

Freezing.

I've had a cold for an entire week now.
It's very unpleasant, mind you.
Seryoso nakakainis na. Haha. But oh well.
Wala naman akong magagawa eh. :P

Short entry lang, pagod na ako eh.

Hooray, exams na namin in 2 weeks.
One of my favorite times of the year, kasi early dismissal pag ganun.
And since hindi rin naman ako nag-aaral masyado, masaya siya.
Hahaha.I can't wait. Sana lang talaga okay grades ko this term, pero feeling ko hindi talaga.
Grr. Haha.

Yun, medyo frustration ko yun this year.
Hindi na kayang hindi nag-aaral masyado.
Kailangan ko nang magsipag.
Yan lagi sinasabi ko sa sarili ko, pero hindi naman nangyayari.
Haha, sana magawa ko na next term.

Let me end with this line na sobrang kakaiba. :>

""Just picture me beside you. Or if you really really miss me, hug a pillow and pretend I'm that pillow. :">"

Kung saan ko yan nakuha, secret na lang. =))

.MrRobby.
Go away, sipon. >:P

Inverse Property of Sleep.

Okay, seriously.
The earlier I sleep, the sleepier I am the next day.
It's annoying since the later I sleep, the more fatigue affects me at the later part of the day.

Simply said:
I can choose to be falling asleep during class the next day by sleeping early,
or physically hurting the next evening by sleeping late.

In other news, I haven't been writing in my planner very much.
I have more than a whole month of art to catch up in its pages.
That's around 11 pages by now. I promised myself I'd fill every box in my planner this year.
(Except maybe February 8, for irony. :D)

I also haven't been blogging as much, guess I don't feel as motivated to blog anymore.
Less idle time on my hands this term, eh.
I still want to get the habit back though. It's a nice habit. :[

PLEASE let me know if you still visit by dropping a message in my chatbox.
It's my main way of knowing if people still actually read here. Hahaha.
It'll help keep my blogger's spirit up! You want that, don't you? :)

Haha, anyway, that's all. I think I'll be designing my planner now.
Go me!

.MrRobby.
Come on, Robby. You can do better than that!

Summary of Academic Character.

"Robby, you suck in doing homework."
-Harvey Parafina.

Ladies and gentlemen, I humbly ask for a round of applause for my good friend.

.MrRobby.
Bow.

Record.

So far, in my entire life, my latest sleep time is 11:30 AM.
And it happened just around September. Hahaha.
I just feel like telling the tale now.

2 of my important commitments clash and required so much of me for the next day.
That Saturday, One issue of Spiritworks and the final lay-out of Hilites' second issue.

Contrary to how it seems, Laying out takes a lot of TIME, ENERGY and PATIENCE.
I had none of the three, but hey, I have to learn right?
Admittedly, It was my fault that I lacked all three.
Putting it off and taking my sweet time took the abundance of all three away.
So I did what the consequences of my actions called for.
I made time.
I used up energy I never even knew was there.
I managed to keep cool and waited HOURS AND HOURS.

It was a seemingly impossible task,
and it wasn't very far from being one.
The internet decided to cooperate with Lack of Time, and cut up at times I really needed it.
One of the pains of doing lay-out is getting your resources.
You can't fire a gun without bullets, and in the same way you can't kick off with a lay-out without your text and images.
My eyes grew immune to the steady glow that emanated from the laptop's screen.
Of course, immunity from something comes from being used to it. Undergoing pain and all.
My eyes BURNED in those moments
from staring at the laptop's LIGHT.
My fingers also FROZE in the air-conditioned cold,
and the DARKNESS worked with it to bring an unbelievable amount of typing mistakes.

I FREAKING LOVE THE IRONIES I JUST REALIZED. =))

Anyway, after much hard work, I finished both lay-outs at around 9:30.
But the hardships don't end at that.
Printing, is another different headache.
Since I'm also in charge of Spiritworks' printing, all of its problems are belong to me.
Hahaha!

Given no real training with InDesign, I encounter maaajor problems in the printing department.
Let's just say I usually don't get to fix them, but I try for hours anyway.
I stopped trying at 11:00 am, and just stayed to chat.
Figured I wouldn't really get any proper sleep anyway, might as well bask in my moment of extreme numbness.
My head felt so light. Sobrang sabaw ko na nun. =))
I fell asleep at 11:30 anyway, then woke up at 1.

Had to commute to Katipunan to get picked up on the way to the Youth Prayer Meeting.
Additional hassle. :D

And so it ends, with much stress and quite a good amount of success, considering given parameters. =))
In simpler terms, I did well during one hell of a sucky time. Hahaha!
Woohoo!

.MrRobby.
Success and the ability to survive with tiny amounts of sleep go hand in hand.

Upside of Scolding.

I told Kris this story earlier today,
when I remembered it because she asked me if I liked Hale.

Back in New Manila, our boarder neighbor (since we lived in a compound sort of house)
gave an autographed original copy of Hale's first album to me.
This was because he was related to one of the band members.
Forgot specifically who and how, though. Hahaha.

But here's the thing. I never asked for it.
And he was still new to the place, so he didn't really know us yet.
So why was the copy dedicated to me?

We wondered for a while and found the reason.
Back then, Mommy almost ALWAYS got angry at me for overusing the computer.
Not only her, but also my siblings. So they would always say my name out loud.
Since the said neighbor's front door is just a few feet from our study room (The room with the PC)
All these cries could be heard.
That's how he got my name, and being scolded led to me getting a nifty autographed album.

To this day though, I've never listened to it.
Hahaha.

.MrRobby.
Freebies are never bad. :D
Also, this is one heck of a useless post. Hahaha.

I'm LOST.

In a swirling vortex of boredom.

Haha, I can't stand it.
Before sem break, it seemed like I had everything laid out.
But I guess a week (almost 2 weeks, to be more accurate) of practically nothing is just hard to fill out.
I've reverted to online games which can keep me busy for a maximum of an hour or 2.
Not to mention that I'm shifting 3 of them just to keep me awake.

Also, everyone seems to have nothing to talk about either.
YM is as dead as the air of enjoyment, pretty much.
Hahaha.

In other news, I don't have my planner which I base my entries on.
I hope to get it back soon.

I'll end this useless post with a story that dates way back.

I was around 5, and we had a helper who was particularly different.
She would blatantly threaten and say bad things to us.

One night, she snaps and grabs a knife and runs around the house chasing anyone she could see.
I was already indoors, locked in, but I saw my cousin trip outside.
She was stumbling to get up again, and ran since the helper saw her.
She got inside safely, and now the helper was all alone outside.
Then 2 cops came and took her away.

One of my most memorable childhood memories, for some reason.
Weird, no?

.MrRobby.
Where's normal blogging now? :(

The Origin of Mr. Robby

Hooray! It's time for my secondest blog here.
As promised, it's about the origin of my blog title.
I'm going to keep this short, though. :D

[22:23] Celina Reyes: Excuse me, Mr. Robby.
[22:23] Celina Reyes: Paano pa kaya quizzes ko sa Filipino?!

While on the topic of hard quizzes, Ms. Celina here decided to use it.
Where she got it, no one knows. (Except maybe you, Cel. Haha)
But after that, I couldn't stop laughing at the name. Hahaha.
So that made me think of changing my blog's title to it someday.
And there you have it.

Simple as that! :D

.MrRobby.
Will return to regular blogging after this post! :)

Saturday, October 11, 2008

Hello!

It's still pretty empty around here.
Still going to work on it to make it look nice and stuff. :D

Next post will be the story of "Mr. Robby".
Alright!

.MrRobby.
Glad this went up quite smoothly. =D
