It's been 4 months since my last post, and a lot of things have changed. An obvious one is the fact that the first term of third year has already ended, and my last post was during summer. Intense tagal ng hiatus ko. :))

Many things have changed talaga. Hahaha. From simple things like I have stopped using a mechanical pencil in school, started using twistable crayons and stopped as well, started using fineliners, got a new phone for Sun, made friends, started some new hobbies and ended a few, having the longest hair I've ever had then getting it all cut, became 3rd year, changed my wallet, gained some weight, GOT GLASSES, started collecting playing cards, changed school bags, etc. So many things, really. It's been a jam packed 4 months.

Soooo... ANG SAYA! :D Sobra talaga. Enjoying school, fixed a LOT of things, made some things even better and all that crap. =)) Grabe lang talaga, I've learned to counter stress so much better recently. Ang galing! Wahahaha. Sorry kung ang vague. Can't really explain it in words. :)

Let me share a story of today na lang. Hahaha.

So we were dismissed at 4 today, and I had to wait until 6 para sunduin ako ni Kuya. That's been happening a lot lately. :> Pero this time di ko inexpect, kagabi ko na lang nalaman. :)) Pero ayos lang! Akala ko wala akong gagawin, buti na lang may makakasama pala ako while waiting.

Until 4:30, I was with Miggy M and Russ chilling by the Admin part of the dirt wall. Wala talagang pakinabang yun sa buhay ng tao at all. :)) Umupo lang kami dun, kwentuhan and all. Steady lang talaga. Kinakagat-kagat lang kami ng ants so medyo hassle. Pagkatapos nun, we stood up and discovered that our pants were all marked by mud and crap. Dumi talaga, medyo basa pa. :)) Tawanan lang kami, and then Miggy had to go home. So kami na lang ni Russ yung natira. Wahahaha.

Naisip namin bigla na dumaan sa Grade school just to check if I could still claim my Grade 7 year book. Lakad lang kami, and when we got there, closed na yung mga offices so hindi ko na rin nakuha yung yearbook. :)) We just went around the Grade school campus, visiting every area possible. We managed to pick up a Grade 5 quiz which seemed like nothing we would take up when we were Grade 5. =)) Super dali! Nakakainis. Wahahaha. Sana ganun lang kadali lahat. We also visited the Giant Slides, and nalungkot talaga ako nung nakita kong wala na yung yellow slide. They demolished it to make way for the path. :( Sayang! We also saw Mr. Balmaceda in the Grade school, and it was kind of odd for that to happen. Wala lang. Hahaha. We were done with our nostalgia walk, so kinuha na naman yung bags namin and planned to leave.

We got hungry so I suggested that we go to McDo. We did, and got there at around 6 na. From 4:30 to 6, we walked non-stop talaga. Our feet began to hurt, kasi hindi naman rin magaan lang yung bags namin. =)) HEAVEN yung feeling na makukuha mo from sitting after that much walking. SOBRANG SARAP. :)) I just ordered a Burger McDo meal with large fries dahil medyo nagutom ako from all our walking. But I had to go shortly after that. Alas, it was fun to have been able to roam freely like that. :D

Too much to tell in such an ineffective way to share your life. Blogging is so limited, I figured.
But I guess it's good too, sometimes. :)

.MrRobby.
Talk to me. :)

Treasure Troves.

That's my restaurant in the Facebook game, Restaurant City.

Let me tell you, it's one of the most boring games you could ever encounter. But I'm pretty far up the ratings in this game. Why is that? Because even if it is boring, it's more interesting than watching paint dry, plants grow or running out of topics to talk about in YM. Even if just by a bit. :)) That's not the only reason, game kasi siya para sa mga tamad. And who can honestly say na hindi ako tamad? You? Then you probably don't know me well enough yet. :> =))

I've been addicted to it because it requires so little attention from you, but it gives you bragging rights and the chance to run your own restaurant. Sure, the customers are extremely impatient, but who cares about them? It's fulfilling to see you and your friends working in your own respective restaurants. And that's enough to make me love the game. Hindi dahil sa bragging rights, extra lang yun. :-"

Now that I've gotten that little piece of my bored loserness out of the way, let's move on to MORE PIECES OF THAT! =))

I cleaned out my drawer once again. Kasi ang sipag kong tao. =)) JOKE! Ang bilis kong kinontra sarili ko, 'no? Hahaha! Totoong reason? Pumunta kaming Shopwise kanina, and medyo nabaliw kami ni Maan. We got roughly 1000 pesos worth of chocolates, chips and other kinds of snacks. Kick our faces in if you want, but they'll probably be full of Snickers or Cheetos. :)) Adik talaga kami. This is what keeps me awake at night, my secret stash of killer food. :>

And oo nga, Maan.
Nakakainis na walang "BINIBINTA" na ballers sa Eastwood. :))

Last Friday and Saturday, we once again went to the Family Encounter weekend to be one of the presenting families who share in front. :)) Grabe, ang saya ng experiences. Nung Saturday, I wore my shoes at around 7 am, and removed them at 1 am of Sunday. That's 19 hours of my feet being in High-cut Chuck Taylors. Hindi naman weird yung feeling nung tinanggal ko sila, 'no. =)) Intense talaga, parang tinanggal ko na yung paa ko nung tinanggal ko yung shoes ko. :]

Grabe, sobrang aga ko matulog lately. Mga 6 am ang average time of falling asleep. :))
Note: Masamang mag-assume, people. You know what I mean. =))

This day, my Cellphone inbox messages saved on my PC reached a count of 11123. Hahaha!
Intense. Maybe not THAT high, pero sobrang daming bentang memories dyan. =)) As in. Thanks to all the people who text me. You have changed my cellphones' life. (Hindi life ko. Joke. =)) Syempre akin rin. :P) Kasi dati, nasa cabinet lang yun all day at wala masyadong pakinabang sa buhay ko kahit naka-post paid line na ako nun. Ang aksaya ko talaga. Haha. :D

Hindi na ako nakapagblog about the LSS, pero super saya niya. AS IIIIIN! Walang tatalo. :))
Highlight of the weekend: Kumoncert ako sa Vigil room dahil nagbreak si Tita Lina/the keyboardist. =)) Oh, I Want To Know You More ang first song na icocover ko pagmagkacareer man ako sa singing. HAHAHA! :D

Asa na lang ako dun. :))

.MrRobby.
Masama nga talagang mag-assume. :>

Loss of a Friend.

My duck died.

My roughly-7 year old duck died recently. :(
His name was Sonic, and he drowned in a drum of water.
A pretty sad death, you know, for a duck.

Nakakainis talaga, mamimiss ko rin yun! Naaalala ko pa nung binili namin siya sa Shopwise Libis, along with 2 other ducklings. The other two were Princess and Sarah, named by Kitkat and Maan accordingly. Benta. =)) Ang galing nilang mag-isip ng pangalan.

Within the month, namatay yung dalawang ibang duck, and si Sonic na lang yung natira. Nakakainis! =)) Pero ayos lang, matagal nabuhay si Sonic. Kung nakapunta ka sa bahay namin at least once in the past years, makikilala mo siguro yung weird quacking niya kasi laging nakatambay yun sa labas dati. Distinct talaga yung sound niya. Hahaha!

Pero ayos lang, proud na sa kanya sa accomplishment niya.
God bless you, Sonic. Sucks for me to not have done so. :/

"Shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars."
That quote really stuck to me for a night or two. I managed to view it in two ways already, thanks to discussing it with different people. :)) First was with Zarah, when I felt sort of tired. I was pretty negative about it, and we ended up agreeing that there won't always be stars to catch you. When you risk, sometimes you'll just fail and fall. But then, when I presented that quote to Myka, she said "The quote means, that even if you don't get what you are aiming for, there were much more you've gained, compared to one loss." Then I realized I was blinded by my negativity, and I was looking for a different kind of star. There always will be something to gain, if you give an effort. It may not be as big as you expect, but it will be there.

I tried to challenge myself by jumping into a cold pool at a water spa. The water there is as cold as the kind you drink, chilled in the fridge with lots of ice in it. Managing to stay in there for less than 5 seconds was NO SWEAT [ DON'T HURT ME! :( ], but after that you'd begin to feel really cold and the pain would seep into your muscles. I tried to stay for as long as I can, felt a great deal of numbing pain, and panicked to get out. I checked my feet and counted at least 4 small cuts because the tiles of the cold pool are kind of sharp. You're not supposed to play around in there. =))

A few days ago, I got to try laser tag at Market Market with a couple of friends. It was really fun! :D The best part is feeling all awesome, looking for an empty corridor to run through so you can go all Rambo and shoot everyone you see. The worst part is after your first step in this crazy rush, you get shot by someone who's sniping at all the people down below. You run the whole corridor with all your lights off and gun disabled. Not so fun. Hahaha! Celsius ranked 10 of 23, not bad for a first timer, but I ranked 4th in our team of 5. Just a little more, and I would've been last. :O

There are 8 post-its stuck to the shelf beside my computer desk. They contain 2-3 words each, reminding me of what still needs doing this summer. I don't think it was a very good move for me to put such hard to notice notices [ :-" ] beside a computer screen that shines so bright even in the darkest of nights! =)) I usually even forget they exist. :)) Kind of weird for me to plan things out, you know. WELL, I CONSIDER THAT PLANNING ALREADY! Hahaha!

What's been up with the sun lately? The days have been hotter, and the sinks are more broken. Wait, hold the second one. =)) I tried becoming a situational plumber and ended up turning a semi-clogged sink into a broken one that's completely blocked by the metal drain cap. Nagfeeling pa kasing tubero, ayan tuloy. Hahaha! Pero okay na ngayon, naayos ko rin after a few hours. :D

<s>Medyo</s> SUPER sabog nitong entry na 'to. The reason you're in bed is that you passed out hours ago, because you were caught in an exploding gas station. Cause of ignition? Your hand went ablaze, with no logical explanation. Just like a super power.

So your eyes open up, and everything looks normal. A few meters away, you see an unfamiliar man walking to approach you. He seems to want to tell you something. They usually don't make sense, but I actually like that fact. Life has to make sense, but you have dreams for things to just break logic and create interesting new situations. After all, you have unbounded freedom in them. Might as well create the most interesting "stories" you'd never even think to encounter, just to maximize your opportunity, diba? :)) Dream amazing things!

Lately, I've been buying stuff for my PC to improve its performance. Hahaha. I <s>don't</s> have any regrets though. I'm happy with all that. :D Now that I have everything from good memory to a smoking hot mouse, I can't even think of anything else of my PC that I can spend my money on. If for some reason you were out at that time, the giant, semi-realistic face in the sky could have stared down at you without you knowing. =))

I have this really strong feeling that someone's still awake right now, who "isn't supposed to be". :-" Wala lang, medyo nababaliw na ako eh. After thinking how nice my summer was turning out, I suddenly fell through the thin ice I've been creating and into the freezing water. Ironic, considering it's the hot season.

Recently, although it started quite a while back, I've honestly been a bad friend. I've loosened ties with some people, and detached myself from many things just so I can lessen the things I think of, as I felt the need to do so. I was having a hard time balancing everything, so I took selfish, drastic measures. If you've noticed that I've been different lately, or haven't been able to talk to you much, I really am sorry. It's not only a few who have been taking this kind of crap for me, but quite a lot. I gave up, and just chose to escape the problems instead of giving a greater effort to handle things. Well now, the not-caring thing is doing bad to keep me happy. Even if I don't have much to worry about, it's been hitting me over and over that I've done a bad thing to even consider taking such an action just to better myself. Now I'm different, and I somewhat want the old me back. At least I cared more about people's feelings. Working my way back will be very difficult. Just give me time, I'm trying to change all of this.

That's not all, I've been giving up here and there just because things take too much effort. Freaking lazy bum of a person, I don't even get up to do things I want to do just because it's so much more difficult than doing nothing. I'm a quitter, escapist and am too lazy to change it.

Now I that I know what's wrong, I just hope to act upon it. Hopefully, I don't just get stuck on hoping. And there goes a loop that'll take one hell of a push to get out of. Time to change those "am"s to "was"s, and "hope"s to "will"s. I can do it.

.MrRobby.
Darn.

Waterfall.

The only reason that I used that title is because it's raining right now. =)) I have no other reason to do it, since this is an entry on the awesomeness of summer so far.

My days since the last post, especially the past 3 days, just cut the cake- the cake of boringness, that is, and gave it all away for the recent happenings to eat.

I won't even go to details with this post, 'cause that will probably just bore you. :P

In the past week, I reacquainted myself with things from YEARS ago such as a show that had me screaming and slapping my lap all throughout just because it bleeds with coolness, the act of eating bowl-fulls of ice cream without limiting myself, a sport I haven't played, an instrument (even just for a while) that I stopped playing because of my poor, non-persevering old self, and even going to a playground to have clean, inexpensive and simple fun. I can say that I really missed these things, because so much has changed since the last time I encountered these, but they still haven't lost their touch. They hit me the same way they did way back, and I'm glad this stands true. It's good to be able to tell yourself that you're not old enough to say that you need to forget your past because times have changed. Hahaha! I'm totally happy with the way I grew up, and that the bad times existed to make me just who I am today. :D

In the past week, I was able to spend time with people I value a LOT in my life! Of course, with my family during Sundays (and even everyday! JamLegend kasi eh. :)) ), and I really did enjoy my time with them. I tried a new thing last Sunday nga eh, to just let go of my phone for a longer time just to listen more to the people in my immediate environment. When we're out, I have the tendency to pull out my phone and text away, especially when bored. I just stopped this for a while, and it really felt different. Cool. X) And not only with my family, but also with my friends. A '11, YOU'RE THE BEST! Subic was so fun, we did so much even when we were just at the cottage we stayed in for the time we were there. The freedom we had was great, and no regrets having to spend that much money with you guys. AWESOME was in the air, water and sand. =)) Not limited to them, but also with my BLD Youth friends and others. :D

In the past week I just experienced so much that I'm thankful for. Sure, now that I have highpoints in my summer, the boring days will seem boring-er and there still are a lot of them left. But whatever happens... uhh. Hindi, mali pala. Walang ganun, negative thinking na yun eh. Hahaha! O, erase erase, sa "But" ulit tayo: But I know that there are still many good things in store for me this summer! AYUUUUUN. =))

On second thought, Waterfall could be interpreted to be relevant to my entry now. Piece it together, I won't elaborate for you, para may exercise naman yung utak mo. Hahaha! It's not that hard. :>

.MrRobby.
Thank you God, for the week that has been. That's probably why I don't like summer so much.

That's something you'll never hear from someone who's still enduring classes until now. Hahaha, exactly what the Summer paradox is. When it's summer, you look for things to do with that time. When it's not, you look for time to do things with. Maybe some never experience this, but I'm sure it's the greater majority who'll be able to relate with me.

It's kicking in, obviously. The summer attitude is sinking in already, despite this being only my second week of vacation. I only realized now that two weeks have already passed though, and that makes me quite sad. What have I done in that time? Nothing really significant, just enjoying all this free time here and there.

Makes me realize how ungrateful people can be though. I'm not one for reflective blogs (only because I don't like making them. :P) so let's keep this part short. It shows how a lot are never happy with the ground they stand upon. School people want out, they want summer's free time. Summer people want school, so they'll be preoccupied daily. On a greater scale, you can really see this attitude in many people. All the complaining, whining and wishing for more. Is anybody ever truly happy? I guess not. But that's not a problem. It's one thing to desire more for your life, but it's another to just stand there and be sad about it. You long for more? Work for it. Make it happen. That's the way to do things.

++++++++++

And there you go! Serious part's over. Hahaha. Seriously, this summer's been fun so far though. The above-mentioned feeling has only hit me on occasions, I'm not that sad about the two weeks. Most of the time, I think it's two well spent weeks. Just bumming out and relaxing may be a bad thing, but it's better than stressing out, right? So yeah, summer's been mostly great. :D

Late happy birthday (March 13) to Harvey! Special mention ka sa entry na 'to. :>

My summer cash has been bothering me. I don't have enough to last me close to three more months. =)) I wish I could stop spending and save up, but things to spend on just keep coming along. Argh. Hahaha!

That's it for now! I'm done here.
Mr. Robby's back, with a inner burning (Ow, ow, ow. =)) I think I stated that wrongly. :)) ) for writing!

.MrRobby.
Thank you, Mr. Hot Sun Above for causing people to run inside for shelter from you. =))))

My Stand Regarding the RHBill.

I won't lie to you, I haven't read the ENTIRE bill.
But I can say that I have read more of it than many ever have.
I hate to say it, but some churches have tried to brainwash people with false facts about it (specifically in a prayer that I heard in more than just one mass, in different churches).

I never took a stand until skimmed through it.
It looked almost perfectly good to me then, and I was fully supporting it.
Then we had a Bio session which used facts from the original bill.
I saw things that I missed out on in my first read and run through, but this wasn't enough to throw off my support on it.
True, Section 21, number 2 is something I fully agree with up to now. This stand doesn't coincide with our teacher's so hindi naman talaga pwede sumipsip, diba? Hahaha.

It's kind of long, so I understand if no one reads this. Not a lot of people care about current events nowadays eh. Hahaha.

-----

My stand on the Reproductive Health Bill is still one of support. To me, it remains to be a bill that wishes to uphold a healthy and happy life for all the humans which are yet to be born, and those who already are.

The main concern of many about the bill is that it legalizes abortion, which is not true. Sure, you may say that one can infer from the bill that family planning may include abortion methods but nowhere in the bill does it say that abortion will become legal. This means that the existing law that illegalizes abortion will stand, and the bill will do nothing to change that standing law. Technically, abortion will still be illegal and remain out of the mentioned family planning in the bill. Also, the mentioned family planning in the bill is not compulsory, as it still allows married couples to opt out of it and just choose to naturally plan their lives. This means that the government will merely offer the family planning service, and not require citizens to follow these plans. Natural family planning is still allowed. Secondly, most parts of the bill call for voluntary actions, only a few are actually compulsory. One of the more significant outright prohibitions which disallows a health care provider to refuse performing voluntary ligation or vasectomy on the ground of lack of spousal consent or authorization. I agree that this is one of the more extreme steps that the bill wishes to take in order to control births (which I don’t completely agree with), but I would take this precaution over the chance of an accidental, unplanned birth which will force them to resort to an illegal, back-alley abortion, abandon the baby, or use other methods of helping sustain a child under rough circumstances such as child labor and abuse. Another controversial thing about it is its encouragement of the use of contraceptives. Some think that contraceptives will be allowed only when the bill is approved, but contraceptives already are legal, and they are relatively easy to obtain from pharmacies nowadays. The bill simply encourages it, which I believe is still better than unwanted births which will lead to the aforementioned paths of a bad future for the child. Another thing is the two child policy, which is also only encouraged and not imposed. Sex education early on will increase the awareness of children about the possible issues of over-population in the Philippines. In fact, the government will have new institutions and services to further assist reproductive health and family care.

With these methods of preventing unplanned births, propagation of information through education and media, and family planning to prevent some unexpected cases wherein the parents might fail to provide for the children, I think the guarantee of a good life will be more present for children since they will have parents who prepared, planned well and ensure financial support for them. Children will have a greater chance of fully living their lives.

The bill taken at word has no real flaws for me. I believe that if this bill is implemented well, and that if it is followed as it is without any loophole exploiting, then it will turn out to benefit lives, especially for children. Is it not that children who are here now, and their parents are also considered as life too? Why don’t we assist these lives by giving them options not to end lives, but informing them of a way so that they don’t run themselves into thinking that children are just burdens? Why don’t we give them the choice to better plan their finances for their families so that they don’t have to grind themselves to the bone to just barely cover up for the entire family’s expenses? Why don’t we give them that financial guidance and family planning help, so that their children who are with them now don’t have to suffer having to work or starve themselves just so they can go to school? I believe that this is a way for us to help those in need, to help the unguided majority set their lives straight again.

I am a Catholic who also supports life, and I think times today have changed for us to not adapt. The earth still has its limited resources, limited space and I believe that this is already a way that God is telling us to show respect for every life, and that we must be responsible with the lives given to us. God gave us brains to think for ourselves, to be able to plan our future and not just recklessly proliferate. I believe that this is a way for each life here on earth to bear fruit. I believe that we shouldn’t allow lives to just wither away because of human irresponsibility. I believe that lives don’t exist to be there, they are given so that each one may enjoy the chance they get here on Earth in the best way that each one can.

.MrRobby.
Go RHB!

Vow Revival.

After watching Hervacio Tubulan during first year, I vowed to watch all the Sibol plays for the whole time I was in the High School.
I did the exact opposite. I missed every single one until last night. Hahaha.

Why the sudden change?
Simple.

It was required. =))

I was reluctant to go at first, but eh. It would be okay, I told myself. Little did I know that this night would want me to revive my vow. I want to, but I might not. Don't really know right now. Hahaha!

Anyway, it was VERY fun.

Once I arrived, JP was recalling his very nice buzzer beating 3-pointer. I had the assist on that one despite the nail already being stuck in my foot. =)) Hung around before actually deciding to buy a ticket. :P

Then everyone goes in and watches. 30+ minute intro by Sir Pagsi, then Shylock's trial. It was... wordy and annoying. But the Shylock actor was quite good. Throughout the play, I had a feeling I would understand Ang Paglilitis ni Mang Serapio better. And it was a correct feeling! Hahaha.

Another 30 minute or so talk by Sir Pagsi. Then it was THE BEST PLAY EVER. Ang Paglilitis was extremely engaging, fun and has a nice story. I understood and enjoyed this way better than the first half. Gaaah. Awesome play makes me want to watch more. But only if they're going to be as good as that. :))

I really enjoyed that.

After, it's traditional Sibol choiring. 3 familiar songs from them and an extra one.
It's starting to get worn out though. Hahaha.

We get out, and just walked around. I was bored, so I hopped on Josh's back and rode him. Miggy wanted to mount my back while I was riding Josh. We tried to do the triple mount while Josh was on his the phone with his mom. Miggy and I surprise him, and he screams "OH SHI*!" into the phone. He proceeds to apologize to him mom after that. I couldn't stop laughing, along with Eric, Bryan and Miggy. Josh, we're sorry that we made your parents stop loving you that night. =))

We got a bit tired and settled down. I spoke to Niqui in tagalog, and everyone else made a big deal out of it. Hahaha. What's so wrong with me speaking in tagalog, guys? /:)

After that, I showed Myka the book. Penguin of Death is a nice book! The penguin loves you, don't worry. He's not as evil as he sounds. HAHAHA. :))

After that it was just random talking and walking, until the last 4 people left were Migo, Myka, Iso and I. We were walking towards the admin when Migo's car came (and my phone fell. Which apparently happened because of... something. Right, Myka? Haha.) , then we turned around and walked towards Sibol. The dark road was nice. :D

My guess was right, the car in front of Sibol that I first saw was mine. And Myka's was right behind it. Hahaha! But Iso had no way home yet, he had to wait for his mom to pick him up in a cab. There was an awkward moment when we were deciding if we were going to stay with Iso or not, then Myka reminds me that I had to wake up at 5 am the next day. Reason overtakes conscience, and I ride my car and go. I felt bad about leaving Iso behind, he was the only person left when we left. :(

So I get home and finish watching 300 on my PSP before sleeping, and I learned that Myka's pretty accurate when it comes to reading people. :))

.MrRobby.
The nail wound hurt more after this, but I couldn't care less. :))

Impossibly Lively.

At the end of the day, I still don't know how I survived...

NOPE, this isn't an emo post. Hahaha.
After I'm done, YOU TELL ME how I'm still alive, alright? :P

January 23, 4 am.
A click here and there, and I'm done with the Elections Primer lay-out.
I send it to people and then fall asleep.

Around one hour and thirty minutes later, I wake up.
Then stand up.
Then take a bath.
Then go to school.

Total sleep time: LESS than 2 hours.

I get there, we have a CLE Long Test I didn't study for in our first period.
That caused some permanent brain damage, I think. :))

2nd period, we have PE.
I play basketball for our team for 2 whole halfs. (Or a whole game, if you want to put it that way. 2 halfs from 2 different matches kasi yun. Hahaha!)
Also, something happens. Bad landing and my foot starts to hurt.

We get back to the classroom to find it locked. Jovin, the keeper of the keys, is out in a Math competition.
25 minutes later, the Janitor opens our door, some student council candidates assault our room and we try to put on our normal uniforms while trying to keep our hungers satisfied. Failure happens, all I get to eat is a crinkle. It was a good one, but I was still hungry. :P

English, then Bio, then Math. There's still pain in my foot so I go to check it out.
I find a dark brown splotch on my sock and find out that my foot was bleeding all that time. Oh joooy! =))
Checked my rubber shoes, and yep, found a nail. A rusty one at that. :D

Hop, hop, hop.
Down 2 floors, to the Satellite infirmary which was closed, then to the main infirmary.
That's about 300 meters on one-foot hops. :))
Well, not quite. Around 2/3rd of the way there, Mr. Dator spots me and assists me to the infirmary along with one of the cafeteria staff he called in. My view of Mr. Dator changed completely. Hahaha. He's a good guy with a love for the rules. That's it.
It was still freaking tiring.

Once I got to the infirmary, they patch up my wound and tell me to tell my parents of the event.
It was my choice if I wanted to get an anti-tetanus shot or no. I told my parents, of course, but I didn't want to get a shot. So, nay. =))

I get back to Math and panic with Matthew to solve the pairwork problem of the week. It was hard!

After that, I finally get to eat in my car as we were on our way to teach 5 year olds again.
Thank God this time Ma'am Cynthia was around to help us. It was so much easier with her around.
It still was tiring though.

Now, where'd I get all that energy? I don't know. :))
But once I got home, I collapsed. I just fell down on the bed and DIED. HAHAHA!

.MrRobby.
I living off the energy that everyone's emitting! :>

626

Yesterday, I found out that teaching Prep students is way more tiring than a session in the gym.
It's amazing how those kids made me sleep from 6pm to 6am.

So let's skip the more boring parts of the day (like getting chased down, interrogated and smashed into a basketball court's pole) for the story of our first service at the KBF Escopa 3 Day Care Center.

Roughly 30 students were assigned to us, and that day we were supposed to teach Road signs. Josh, Matthew, Russ and I were pretty psyched up since we had a lesson plan that was prepared already and we knew we just had to follow it.

Then things happen.

When we get to the center, our teacher faces us up with the news that she wasn't going to stay with us. She said she had to go to one of the other centers to assist our classmates there who had no teacher with them. We were left to teach the kids by ourselves, and we thought "Yay, we get more freedom to teach." We missed the fact that this meant more freedom for the kids too.

So I have 5 tips for anyone who has to do the same thing as we did. :))

1. Never bring toys to a class of kids this young. It's a fact that they love the inanimate objects more than they love you.

So our ice breaker activity involved each of us pointing at a chosen kid with a toy to have him or her tell his or her name to us. This part got hard even before it started because all the boys would grab on to your hand and start screaming, "KUYA, AKIN NA LANG!" Try carrying 5 boys around with one arm. Wahahaha.

2. When separating two boys in a fight, make sure they're far enough from each other. They have ranged attacks too.

So boy A pushes boy B off his chair, and boy B retaliates by punching back. I get in the middle of their fight and pull boy B away from boy A. Boy A decides to spit at boy B, who had my arm around him. Result: My arm was covered in saliva after a few shots by Boy A. Ten seconds later, boy A and B's tempers have cooled off and my arm felt violated.

3. Carry a picture of a girl in your wallet, just to prove that you're straight to a kid who won't listen to you.

Obviously, a tip for guys. One kid was calling Russ gay, and couldn't be convinced otherwise. She wants a girl's pic in your wallet as proof, and nothing else will even count as valid to her. Hahaha!

4. Use your height to your advantage. It's one of the only things you can beat the kids with.

Store the things which they shouldn't be getting in high places. There's a downside to this though. They'll start grabbing onto you and begging you to lift them up so you can get the items for them. Good luck resisting, I have no tips for that. HAHAHA!

5. Your only way to be heard is to scream.

Screaming is tiring. 2 hours of screaming is more physically draining than it seems. =))

So that's it. Hahaha. It was still a very enjoyable activity, and I can't wait for next Friday. Okay, maybe I can.

.MrRobby.
Kids are tiring. But I absolutely love them.

Nothing.

I'm not going to promise anything anymore to this blog, since I really haven't been feeling like updating. And I guess nobody would care anyway. Hahaha!

So there, I decided to update my blog about what happened today.

We left late for school again, so I had to walk from Gate 3. Yaaay. Haha.
Then I get to the classroom 20 minutes later to find out that I forgot about the Bio lab report. I felt bad to be seen doing it right in front of our Science teacher. Mrs. Abito is really kind, and you'd just feel bad everytime you abuse her leniency.

Classes go on, and we finished the movie in Media which was about advertisements.
It's old, but quite amusing. Honest ads are funny. =))

More more more happens.
AP, we had a Long Test I didn't study for. Also, I made a mistake in understanding one of the questions in the Essay and wasted time writing something that wasn't even supposed to be there. Wahahaha. It wasn't so hard. But I'm not getting high, and I think that's just right.

During Filipino, I thought I had last 2 copies of the same book within a week.
Good thing Jay realized that he had the copy I was using.

In Math, we learned about FCP, Factorials and Permutations. Mr. Dizon explained that Scientific calculators have the function for Permutations. When I found where it was and pressed it, I blurted out, "Oh! It's the thing I used to spell Poop with last year!" P00P. Hahaha!

We had English where a lot of people laughed at Gab for following directions incorrectly. This includes Paulo, who later on finds out that he was also doing what Gab did, but only realized when everyone was checking. Yan ang napapala ng mga nakikitawa. =))

During SSP, we tried inventing new games to play with a chess set. There were creative ideas, but they all failed for the most part. Yeah, we'll learn to stick to normal chess next time.

Yesterday, I got 4 hours of sleep in the car. One moment, I'm in school and next thing I know, I wake up in our car which was then right outside our house. Today though, I only got 1 hour and 30 minutes. Boooo. Hahaha.

I got home, and tried Skype out. It was really fun to talk to 4 classmates at the same time with a Voice over Internet client. It's clear and nice. Everyone should try it out, seriously. Hahaha. It has so much potential and uses. Plus, Skype has a lot of games and plug-ins. Fuuuuun.

That's all. I'm alone now, and have nothing to do.
I'm quite satisfied with this blog post. :)

.MrRobby.
Finally, a proper post! :D

Near Miss.

I said I would post for the 1st of the year, but I guess I missed it. Haha.
Simple.

Second, I slept from 1 am - 7 am and 12 noon - 9 pm yesterday.
Count the hours, and I'm sure as hell you won't be surprised why I'm still not sleepy.
Why sleep for that long? Sheer boredom. I had nothing to do. Hahaha.

Last, it's a long weekend for us at the AHS.
Release of report cards on Monday.
Why not waste time, right? I used it because it was a cool day, and it's gone now. Haha!

It was so packed, from morning until the very minute it ended. Mm-hmm.
It began with KLIK, which is an alternative class day we get every other year.
You get to choose 2 classes from a really wide range of them, including anything from Powerboxing to Fun with Potatoes.
For my first class I chose Blogging 101, hoping to improve the way I type my entries.
It was boring, and the only thing I learned there was that regular 3rd year Math was way easier than semi-honors 2nd year Math.

"If 2a = 3b, then what is a/b? a/2?"
Come on. :))

The speaker ended the class 20 minutes early which Robi and I spent scouring through the stuff of this 3rd year person who had 3 differently colored Barbie pens. Yeah, they were in pink, blue and yellow. Hahaha.

During recess, I ranted about the first class being so bad.
Then some classmates told their stories of their first session experiences too.
We waited for Session B, which for 8 of us was How Radio Works and Being a DJ, the speakers being Tonytoni and Grace Lee.
It was a very funny and worthwhile hour and a half, as Tonytoni kept shooting all of Grace's life advice down. Bwahahaha.
I tried to record them using my phone, but the quality's really bad and the track is an hour long. So yeah, kind of a waste. Hahaha.
Everyone got autographs and pictures with them, causing the teacher moderator a bit of stress since that wasn't really supposed to happen.
Hahaha!

Afterwards, there was a huge crowd that moved around following Grace Lee which was a bit of a pathblocker.
While waiting until we can pass, some classmates got the crazy idea of stealing her chair. So they switched the 2A teacher's chair with hers.
Goodjob. :))

Straight after that, we met up and went to Katipunan to pass time until 3 pm.
Matthew managed to crash 2 computers in 5 minutes with the same problem no one else got. Such luck. Haha!
We played a few games, payed so much for so little, hopped in my brother's car at 3:40 or so PM, then made our way to our house.
Here we just hung around and freshened up before going to AA's Grade 7 legacy. I had to go there whether I wanted to or not though, so good thing Matthew, Russ and Miggy were going too.

So we got there late, Miggy and Russ were labelled as gay. (Whether they really are or not, YOU decide. Hahaha!)
We hung around with the friends they met from our soiree months back, who I got to meet during Matthew's party back in December 6.
We were introduced to many many people as well. :))
Lots of stuff happened. Hooray!
It was fun and funny for the most part, and Russ had a plan to jump the stage.
But it was cancelled.

"No Piolo, No jump!"
-Russ.

Hahaha! And there was no Piolo. TOO BAD. =))
I forgot my money, and consequently didn't eat.
So when we got home, my mom cooked looots of food for us to finish.
Too much for 4 people. :D

We didn't do very much from there since we were all so tired from the long day.
And since we realized that we had 3 more whole days of no classes after that, we could sleep in peace knowing we had so much more time to enjoy the break.

I woke up at 6 somehow (Natural wake-up, y'know it.) Hahaha.
But I found out Matthew woke up even earlier at 4:30. He had already taken a bath and freshened up in preparation for going back home.
After a while, Russ woke up but Miggy stayed asleep.
I went back to sleep, and Miggy woke up. =))
Then I woke up again while they were eating breakfast.

Then Robby does the following!:
Stand up.
Walk to the fridge.
Grab ice cream container.
Get mini-bowl.
Scoop some ice cream in.
Eat ice cream.
Drink water.

And THEN I realize they were eating breakfast.
Ohhhhh.

So I eat breakfast after that. Hahaha!
It was all good. Then they had to leave already. :(
So I'm back to my lonesome. Oh wells. Haha. :))

I can't wait to enjoy the rest of my long weekend. Woohoo!

.MrRobby.
The bright full moon is NICE.

Freeday.

Fridays are freedays for me.
Every Friday, I get dismissed at 1 pm, and we go home to New Manila so I can just commute home.
It's nice to able to take advantage of these hours between 1 and 5 pm and just enjoy the end of the week with classmates. :D

So yeah, for the past 3 Fridays, you wouldn't have seen Robby at home straight after school. Hahaha.

This freeday gives me a nice sense of freedom (duh), since for the past many years of my life, my parents would arrange everything for me.
Way there, way home, time of staying etc.
But now, I just have to ask for permission to go out and I'm as free as a Buy-1-Take-1 product. Hahaha!

.MrRobby.
MUST DO BETTER!

ColorGenics. :P

I was bored, and tried this ColorGenics thing.
It fits, I must say. :P Hahaha!

Name: Robby
Date: 12/1/2008

You are constantly hoping that your good fellowship and attitude and your 'love for your fellow man (or women)' will give you peace of mind. You need people - people around you to care for you and to show you that they care. It is this hope that keeps you going, the hope that makes you the type of person that indeed you are. Your own need for approval seemingly makes you always ready to help others and in exchange you seek love, warmth and understanding. You will always listen to others and you are open to new ideas which hopefully will prove fruitful and interesting.

You are lazy - you dream of a peaceful, calm, uncluttered and uncomplicated life. Your ideal would be to share a permanent base with some person or persons who would be able to demonstrate on-going love, peace and security.

Conditions are rather confusing at this time. You would like to involved with a particular person or a particular situation but you are holding back. You find it difficult to make a decision.

You are experiencing extreme frustration at this point of time, trying to achieve security and peace of mind, but whatever you seem to do doesn't affect the situation. You are worn out and your energy is being seriously depleted. You may be experiencing what is known as 'heartache' - both mentally and physically. You are a listener and you listen and respond to everything that is going on around you. You feel that all that life has to offer should be within your grasp and you would like to participate in every part of it but the situation is such that every door seems to be closed to you. You just can't understand why that is. But it is - and what's more you feel powerless to change it.

You feel utterly wretched - worn out. The demands that other people have been making on you have depleted your strength and stamina. You feel powerless to try to remedy the situation on your own and you are looking for what is hopefully known as 'divine intervention'. But be assured your salvation lies in yourself - you have the ability so use it.

Try it too: http://goldinuniverse.com/

The First.

Nothing to really talk about.
The exams are over, and so's another term of schooling.
Yay!

Randomness entry ahead.
++++++++++

Ate: Papasok ka na sa school?
Andrei (our nephew): Hindi pa.
Ate: Bakit?
Andrei: Kakain pa ako eh. *Walks off to the table with food.*

Hahaha!

++++++++++

So we went to Budgetlane to buy rice and dinner food today.
I was in board shorts, old yellow shirt I've had since I was 10, and to top it all off...
Hotel Bedroom Slippers.

I looked like crap. But more importantly, exams begin tomorrow.

Once again, I must say that I really suck at reviewing and studying.
Whenever I try, I can always tell myself that I know the stuff I'm reviewing.
Turns out I need to know MORE about the stuff I already know.
Since it'll require a bit more pruning to find that "more", I get lazy.
And because I get lazy after TRYING to study, I can almost guiltlessly fool around.
Perfect.

So it ends up with me not doing any more than remembering some very small bits that I've forgotten.
It always happens.

The only time studying actually worked for me was when we were to have an AP LT on the next day on a
lesson I completely didn't learn about due to inattentiveness.
Luckily, that proved that I can study well when I don't know anything about the topic.
It helps me stay interested in actually going over stuff.

For a long test on something I didn't learn about from listening to the teacher,
41/50 is pretty good.

I really wish I had never started on this whole "being seriously lazy" ordeal, because laziness is one of the pits hardest to get out of.
You get stuck, you want out, but you can't be bothered to take action.
You sit in that hole, telling yourself that you reeeaaally want to get out.
But what do you do? You try to jump up once or twice to climb out, fail, and sit back down.
It's just too much effort for a lazy person to continue trying.

I hate such a fate, but hey, I brought it upon myself.
And I know blogging about it won't solve anything, I'm not expecting it to.
I want to change this part of me, but I can't.
Sitting in this hole IS convenient, after all.

.MrRobby.
Throwing things that can keep you busy while in that hole makes it even harder.

To Sing, to Laugh, to Dream

Oh yeah.

Here's me practicing my Cyrano speech at home.
The audio quality is bad, so bear with it.
I sound like a girl in it. Daaang, I'm a sad boy.)
It was a nice golden brown, and smelled really good.
As the person there lifted the bottle of caramel, I watched in anticipation.
A wave of disappointment overcame me when I heard the bottle sputter little blobs onto my crepe.
There was very little caramel left.

The lady said to her partner, "Wala na ba tayong caramel?"
She looked at their stock of things, and came up empty-handed.
Grabbing the almost empty bottle, she squeezed it for the little it had left.
And it was done, my crepe was peeled from the pan and rolled neatly.
I bit into it, and true enough, it was the most crisp crepe I've ever tasted.
It's just that it didn't have very much flavor to it.

Which brings me to my point:
Cafeteria products can be categorized on two axes.

First, almost no meal/sandwich/item has both good quality and quantity for its price.
It's one or the other.

Then there's preparation.
It either tastes good, or feels good.
Example: You may have nicely fried fries, which will taste bland,
or really oily fries that taste good.
(Explanation: More oil means more powder/ salt will stick on. ;D )

It's almost impossible for it to be both.
If it's about to happen, Murphy's law will strike and you they'll suddenly have no caramel left.
Hahaha.

.MrRobby.
I'm suddenly hungry now! and the final lay-out of Hilites' second issue.

Contrary to how it seems, Laying out takes a lot of TIME, ENERGY and PATIENCE.
I had none of the three, but hey, I have to learn right?
Admittedly, It was my fault that I lacked all three.
Putting it off and taking my sweet time took the abundance of all three away.
So I did what the consequences of my actions called for.
I made time.
I used up energy I never even knew was there.
I managed to keep cool and waited HOURS AND HOURS.

It was a seemingly impossible task,
and it wasn't very far from being one.
The internet decided to cooperate with Lack of Time, and cut up at times I really needed it.
One of the pains of doing lay-out is getting your resources.
You can't fire a gun without bullets, and in the same way you can't kick off with a lay-out without your text and images.
My eyes grew immune to the steady glow that emanated from the laptop's screen.
Of course, immunity from something comes from being used to it. Undergoing pain and all.
My eyes BURNED in those moments
from staring at the laptop's LIGHT.
My fingers also FROZE in the air-conditioned cold,
and the DARKNESS worked with it to bring an unbelievable amount of typing mistakes.

I FREAKING LOVE THE IRONIES I JUST REALIZED. =))

Anyway, after much hard work, I finished both lay-outs at around 9:30.
But the hardships don't end at that.
Printing, is another different headache.
Since I'm also in charge of Spiritworks' printing, all of its problems are belong to me.
Hahaha!

Given no real training with InDesign, I encounter maaajor problems in the printing department.
Let's just say I usually don't get to fix them, but I try for hours anyway.
I stopped trying at 11:00 am, and just stayed to chat.
Figured I wouldn't really get any proper sleep anyway, might as well bask in my moment of extreme numbness.
My head felt so light. Sobrang sabaw ko na nun. =))
I fell asleep at 11:30 anyway, then woke up at 1.

Had to commute to Katipunan to get picked up on the way to the Youth Prayer Meeting.
Additional hassle. :D

And so it ends, with much stress and quite a good amount of success, considering given parameters. =))
In simpler terms, I did well during one hell of a sucky time. Hahaha!
Woohoo!

.MrRobby.
Success and the ability to survive with tiny amounts of sleep go hand in hand.

Upside of Scolding.

I told Kris this story earlier today,
when I remembered it because she asked me if I liked Hale.

Back in New Manila, our boarder neighbor (since we lived in a compound sort of house)
gave an autographed original copy of Hale's first album to me.
This was because he was related to one of the band members.
Forgot specifically who and how, though. Hahaha.

But here's the thing. I never asked for it.
And he was still new to the place, so he didn't really know us yet.
So why was the copy dedicated to me?

We wondered for a while and found the reason.
Back then, Mommy almost ALWAYS got angry at me for overusing the computer.
Not only her, but also my siblings. So they would always say my name out loud.
Since the said neighbor's front door is just a few feet from our study room (The room with the PC)
All these cries could be heard.
That's how he got my name, and being scolded led to me getting a nifty autographed album.

To this day though, I've never listened to it.
Hahaha.

.MrRobby.
Freebies are never bad. :D
Also, this is one heck of a useless post. Hahaha.
So that made me think of changing my blog's title to it someday.
And there you have it.

Simple as that! :D

.MrRobby.
Will return to regular blogging after this post! :)

Hello!

It's still pretty empty around here.
Still going to work on it to make it look nice and stuff. :D

Next post will be the story of "Mr. Robby".
Alright!

.MrRobby.
Glad this went up quite smoothly. =D
